Sedation Options
- Nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") — a mild, fast-acting inhaled sedative that wears off quickly, so you can drive yourself home. Available today.
- IV moderate sedation — coming soon. Dr. Rowland is certified in IV moderate (parenteral) conscious sedation and is completing her Florida state certification. Once issued, Diamond Dentistry will offer IV sedation in-house for longer surgical and complex cases.

How Does Sedation Work?
Before providing your sedation, Dr. Rowland will review your medical history and explain exactly what to expect before, during, and after your appointment. Nitrous oxide is delivered through a small, comfortable nose hood and takes effect within minutes. When IV moderate sedation becomes available, it will be administered through a small IV line placed at the start of your appointment.
